The weekend of 24th-26th June 2011 saw the Scouts attending their annual Back to Basics camp.

b2b1The weekend began at 7.00pm when the Scouts arrived at Angels Corner to pitch their tents.  Angels Corner is a fantastic woodland site.

The 12 Scouts were split into three patrols and allocated an area to camp in.

Saturday started with a light breakfast (pancakes) before each patrol was given a patrol box containing their equipment for the weekend.

This point marks the start of the Back to Basics theme.

The box contained all of their utensils, pans, washing up bowls, tin foil, matches etc etc.  More importantly it also contained an axe and a bow saw (which were vital in cutting wood for their fires).
